Soy Candle Making with Maddy

A little bit of homemade luxury goes a long way! Who doesn't soften a little in the warm glow of a candle, its scent filling your space.
Come and join this beginner class and learn how to make soy candle from scratch - a process that's safe and simple to replicate at home.
Choose your favourite scents and fragrances - sweet, woody, citrus, floral, fruity - and choose wax dyes to colour your candle. Then decorate your candle with dried flowers and petals for a personal finishing touch.
These candles make cute gifts, but can also be hard to part with!
This workshop is vegan friendly.
What will we cover?
In this hands-on workshop you will:
- Learn the temperature, preparation and equipment needed for working with soy wax at home
- Select fragrances or combinations for your soy candle
- Use coloured waxes to melt into the soy base to create a coloured candle
- Decorate and personalise your candle

Who will be teaching?
Maddy (she/her) is a passionate green-thumb based in Narrm. She grew up in regional Victoria where where family home was an Open garden and nursery. As the garden grew, her family also turned their hand to other creative interests, and they've now been making homemade vegetable soap for over 30 years.
