With one of the most diverse cities comes one of the most diverse musical palettes.
Space City Sync Camp is Blaze Unlimited’s Houston-based songwriting and production camp bringing together artists, producers, songwriters, and musicians across Afrobeat, Afropop, Hip-Hop, Reggaeton, Latin Pop, R&B, and cross-genre global music.
Inspired by Houston’s Space City identity, this experience blends global sounds, industry workshops, and sync licensing education inside an immersive creative environment built for artists looking to learn about or step a toe into the sync licensing world.
Over three days, selected creatives will collaborate in curated studio rooms while gaining insight into how music moves across film, television, gaming, advertising, sports media, and brand-driven content.
This is not an overcrowded content camp.
Sessions are intentionally curated to create meaningful collaboration, real relationships, and music with long-term opportunity.

- How does registration work?
All applicants begin with a $25 registration fee to apply for Space City Sync Camp.
If selected for in-person participation, attendees will receive an acceptance email with instructions to submit the remaining $275 attendee balance by the provided deadline.
Total in-person attendee cost: $300
- What happens if I’m selected but can’t pay the remaining balance?
If you’re unable to complete the remaining attendee payment by the deadline, you will still have the opportunity to participate virtually through one of our remote options:

Virtual Producer Submission Pass — $25
This allows creatives to still engage with the educational and collaborative portions of the experience remotely.
- What does the attendee fee cover?
The attendee fee helps cover approximately half of the overall camp expenses, with Blaze Unlimited covering the remaining production and operational costs.

36 hours of studio access and collaborative sessions
High-level engineer recording rates
Daily industry workshops and guest speaker sessions
Three catered meals per day plus beverages and snacks
Food accommodations based on dietary restrictions and allergies

- Will the camp location be public?
No.
The official location will only be shared with confirmed in-person attendees prior to the camp weekend, and sessions will be closed. - Do I need prior sync licensing experience?
Not at all.
Space City Sync Camp is designed for artists looking to learn more about sync licensing or step a toe into the sync licensing world for the first time.

- Are workshops available virtually?
Yes.
All industry workshops and Q&A sessions will be available virtually through the Virtual Workshop Pass.
- What is the Virtual Producer Submission Pass?
The Virtual Producer Submission Pass allows producers to submit a 3–5 track beat pack for consideration.
Selected production may be used during in-person sessions and credited accordingly.
Whether selected or not, all producer submissions receive access to the virtual workshops and panels.
- How many creatives will be selected?
15-18 creatives will be selected.
- What happens to the music created during the camp?
All music created during Space City Sync Camp will be added to the Blaze Unlimited Sync Catalog and actively pitched for licensing opportunities across film, television, advertising, gaming, sports media, and other visual media platforms.
Ownership and revenue splits follow a fixed structure:
Master Ownership
Blaze Unlimited: 50%
Artist(s): 50%
Publishing
Blaze Unlimited: 25%
Artist(s): 65%
Engineer: 5%
Mixing: 5%
To support fair ownership and meaningful creative participation, no more than five collaborators will be assigned to any single studio session.
All sync fees, mechanicals, and related revenue generated from camp-created music will be distributed according to this structure.

The Production Room with D Bottz
New for 2025, Space City Sync Camp introduces The Production Room, a dedicated producer-focused experience led by Houston producer and entrepreneur D. Bottz. With over 40 million records sold worldwide featuring his production and credits including UGK, Lizzo, Fantasia, Slim Thug, Letoya Luckett, Mike Jones, Kirko Bangz, Raheem DeVaughn, and more, D. Bottz will share practical insights on how professional productions are built, refined, and delivered. Participants will explore: * Production structure and arrangement * Knowing when to build and when to simplify * Creating impactful transitions and musical movement * Delivering production for commercial and sync opportunities * Producer workflow and professional preparation The production created during this session will be used in Day 2 songwriting sessions, giving participating producers the opportunity to hear their work brought to life through collaboration with artists, songwriters, and musicians throughout the camp.
