Space for Nature Garden Visit with Esme and Mark Dean

Well known in the gardening and conservation space in Tauranga Moana, Esme and Mark are opening their small private garden to share their knowledge with Space for Nature members (you can join Space for Nature HERE).

Esme and Mark’s garden has a mixture of exotic and native shrubs planted to attract birds and pollinators. A feature of the 750  square metre section is its location between Belvedere Reserve with its small lake and large trees, and rural paddocks behind, which enhances the environment for birds. Esme has an ever-changing selection of pots displaying seasonal flowers, along with a very productive vegetable garden that provides year-round produce for
the table.
A small greenhouse provides an environment to grow most of the seedlings
planted in the garden, including some fruit trees. Its amazing what can be fitted into a small town garden.
