Over the past two years, STII has facilitated projects with leading industry partners, pushing the frontiers of astrophysics, aerospace, aviation, AI, and more. The STII Industry Day is a platform for industry partners, researchers, and space professionals to come together and discuss advances, opportunities, and challenges in the space sector while networking to strengthen collaborations. This event will catalyse new ideas, reveal expert insights, address workforce gaps and training, and provide access to Swinburne’s top student talent.

We are very excited to welcome Laura Drake, Senior Manufacturing Engineer at Gilmour Space Technology as our keynote speaker who will share insights into the captivating initiatives currently underway in the field.

Specialising in additive manufacturing, Laura's expertise drives innovation and efficiency in aerospace component production. With a background in mechanical engineering, her role involves solving complex challenges and promoting sustainable manufacturing practices. Laura's contributions play a pivotal role in Gilmour Space's pioneering work in Australia's New Space industry
