SPARK Uni - Entrepreneurial Students & Graduates Meetup

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Meet and connect with like-minded uni students & grads who are pursuing ideas in entrepreneurship!

About the event

Connect to what's next and join us on the 13th of October at RMIT Activator HQ as we celebrate a community of the next generation of entrepreneurs and ideas. This event is part of the RMIT Entrepreneurship Month, What's Possible? and is supported by the amazing people at HEX!

We all know that the best startup founding team should have members with complementary skills (i.e. Business/Tech/Design), but often as a student/recent graduate most people you know are studying something similar. We would like to use this event as an opportunity to help bridge that gap and help you build new connections!

You'll have the opportunity to meet and socialise with students from diverse study backgrounds (from Business and Law, STEM to Design and Social Context) who are interested in entrepreneurship and get to take part in a range of fun activities such as:

  • An ice-breaker game to warm up the space
  • Hear pitches from our students who currently working on exciting ideas
  • Mini entrepreneurship workshop
  • Get to know our community and network!

About the RMIT Activator

Keen to learn more about the start up world or have an idea that can change what's possible?

RMIT Activator is the entrepreneurial and innovation hub at RMIT dedicated to helping everyday Australians develop the knowledge and skill set to help drive value and change with their ideas.

Through experimental learning, we nurture entrepreneurial talent by facilitating a range of activities from face-to-face workshops, online learning to accelerator programs and foster a community of like-minded individuals to champion problems and drive meaningful solutions.

About HEX

HEX exists to create a generation of leaders who’ll create the world they want to live in. The rate of change in tech is exponential, but the rate of change in education is pretty flat... So we hang out at the intersection of education and innovation, delivering a new kind of learning.

We run virtual and international study experiences – focused on innovation, tech startups, and futurist mindsets and organised global trade missions for Government; incubated hundreds of founders in innovation hotspots like Silicon Valley; and worked with Nobel Prize winners, TED coaches, Grammy nominees, and tech investment legends like Guy Kawasaki.
