Sparks 2024 Showcase
Event description
"A night Celebrating Performing Arts!"
Insight Acting's annual Sparks Showcase is here again for the second year! It's a night to support performers extending their acting craft. This means presenting work in a communal way. Breaking down the seriousness of performance and bringing the rehearsal energy to stage encouraging actors to extend their practice and broaden their skillset.
Part I contains a series of short monologues and scenes taken from film, screen and plays to stretch actors and challenge their casting. Everything from Saltburn to the Triangle of Sadness to Working Mums! Come support local artists realising their ability with new processes and approaches to the craft of acting.
Part II we are delighted to announce the incredible and brilliant Julia Robertson is traveling to town for an extended interview to talk about her experience as a multidisciplinary artist. We'll talk about everything from her journey, to navigating the professional world, to pathways for emerging artists to enjoy creating in a sustainable and healthy way.Â
Length:Â
About 2 Hours including interval. Drinks and snacks available, including beer and wine.
