About the facilitators

Sarah Temporal is a prize-winning poet, educator, and arts producer residing in the Northern Rivers NSW. Ever since live poetry allowed her to find a voice as a shy nineteen-year-old, she has been fascinated with the power of poetry to reveal our hidden selves. With a background in education, she has taught poetry to hundreds of people from ages 8 to 89, delivering workshops for Byron Writers Festival, Red Room Poetry, Australian Poetry Slam and more. She runs the annual Poets Out Loud Youth Slam to empower regional young voices.

Jedda Winkworth is a writer and poet who is passionate about the power of spoken word to move, heal and inspire change. Published in Talent Implied Anthology, Getamugstit magazine and Healing Times magazine, Jedda won the People's Choice Award at the Nimbin Performance Poetry Cup and represented Griffith Uni at the Ubud Writers & Readers Festival Open Slam. Jedda is a contributing artist to Poets Out Loud Youth Program and mentors young writers for the Youth Slam.
