Special Olympics WA – Development Basketball Program – Term 1, 2025

Who:

Special Olympics is a global movement that provides year-round sports programs for people with intellectual disabilities. We promote inclusion, celebrate everyone’s abilities, and create opportunities for athletes to have fun, build confidence, and make lifelong friends through sport.

This program is for people with intellectual disabilities and/or autism who love basketball and want to have fun while improving their skills.

What:
A Basketball training program! Come and join the fun, meet new friends, and play games each week.

When:

Every Monday for 9 weeks (8 sessions – due to Public Holiday cancellation on Monday March 3)
Starts on Monday, 10 February, and ends on Monday, 08 April
Time: 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Where:
Loftus Recreation Centre
99 Loftus St, Leederville, WA 6007

Why:
To have fun, get active, and enjoy basketball with friends in a supportive and friendly environment.

How much:
$64 + Booking Fee ($8 per session).

What to Wear/Bring:

Wear comfortable sports clothes and sneakers suitable for indoor basketball.
Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.
Basketballs and training equipment will be provided.
