    Specialised Glazing Session - May

This event has passed Get tickets

    Event description

These glazing sessions are for past ceramic students and customers who have previously made clay pieces with us that have been through their first firing and are ready for painting.  One of our ceramic teachers will give you a brief introduction on using the specialised glazes and will then be available if you have any questions while you paint your items.

Once you have glazed the items you will leave them with us for two weeks so we can put them through there final firing to make them water proof and food safe.  You will be provided with a receipt on the night, please bring this in with you after two weeks to collect your items.

If you are unsure as to if your previously built piece is ready for glazing please give us a call to check before booking this ticket.

The session itself is two hours long with plenty of time in between to relax and enjoy the night. As a self guided session, you can take a break whenever you'd like to. The studio session is $20 which includes initial guidance from a staff member, where they will explain how our specialised glazes is different than our normal under-glazes and how to use them. Please note that this is NOT a class, but instead an opportunity to paint your pieces on your own. Glazes will be charged on top of this cost at $16.00/kg of ceramics. For example if the piece you are painting weighs 400g, the glazing cost will be $6.40.

Our Bar will be open to cater for all your Sipping requirements and our kitchen is now open evenings too! Our bar section and  Evening Menu is available from 5:30pm.

    Collection information - IMPORTANT!
We do not contact you to let you know your pieces are ready, they will be here waiting for you after two weeks. You simply come back in to pick them up after 2 weeks and within 2 months, as we do not keep your pieces for longer than 2 months due to our storage limit ability.

Please note: We are NOT a traditional venue with a quiet classroom. At our venue you may find other creatives working on their own projects like making a drink carry case, building and hammering a rustic key holder together or using the pottery wheels. We are all about creating a fun, lively venue filled with laughter!

Places are limited so please enrol via the ticket link on this event as soon as possible.

Entrance to our venue is from the carpark at the back of 5 Mackinnon street, Rockingham
