Specialist Event | Reliability Excellence Bootcamp
Description
Reliability Excellence Bootcamp
Break the cycle of reactive maintenance and build a more reliable operation. This practical two-day Reliability Excellence Bootcamp brings together Simon Murray, Karl Howard and Rafe Britton to help you strengthen the Maintenance–Operations partnership, measure what matters and choose predictive technologies that deliver value. From simple lubrication improvements to sharper preventive maintenance and practical uses for AI, you’ll leave with tools and clear priorities to reduce failures, justify investment and put improvements into action at your site.
Agenda:
Session 1 - The Language of Reliability
In this session we will explore how the team culture will change as you transition from a
maintenance mindset to asset management thinking and you will learn how to use visual
models to engage all departments so that Maintenance and Operations can form The
Perfect Partnership.
Building on this we will create your Reliability dashboard, understanding what measures and
charts are required to drive the right daily behaviours.
Session 2 – Beyond Condition Monitoring
Predictive Maintenance is now a must have. Here Karl will show you how to justify the
investment in your program and how to prove the ROI to the business.
We will uncover how the core methodologies (Vibration, Ultrasound, Thermography and
Motion Amplification) work together to create a holistic reliability strategy with quick wins.
You will leave this session with an understanding of which tool to apply where, how to avoid
alarm fatigue and how to match the technology to your asset criticality. Of course, Ai,
automation, IoT and wireless technologies will all be covered.
Session 3 – Lubrication Strategy: Small Changes, Big Reliability Gains
What could you change about your lube program next week to improve reliability at your
site?
This practical half-day session focuses on the low-hanging fruit of lubrication: simple, low-
tech improvements with the potential to deliver significant returns through fewer failures, less
waste and more consistent maintenance.
Building on the maintenance strategy and reliability sessions, we’ll turn lubrication
fundamentals into actions attendees can take straight back to their workplace. From the
lubricant store to the machine, we’ll explore where everyday practices go wrong, how to spot the gaps and which improvements to tackle first.
Session 4 – The perfect PM
In this final session you will bring together everything you have learnt over the 2 days and complete a “Fast Track RCM”.
Blending PMO, RCM and FMECA this approach will give you 80% of the wins in 10% of the time of the traditional tools as we create a robust reliability strategy.
Can Ai do any better? To wrap up the boot camp we will explore how Ai can be used to
optimise your maintenance processes.
