Description

SPECIAL EVENT - What can ‘TOC’ do for me? How Constraint Innovation can help your business – With Lewis Trigger.

Most people hate constraints and bottlenecks.

Sitting in the inevitable Traffic Jam on my drive to the beach over Christmas, my mind searched for ways to overcome the queue. Should I have left earlier? Should I have gone on the backroads? Should I have gone by motorbike?

Three hours crawling and 30mins on the beach later, I did it all again on the way home. But this time I applied some ‘constraint Innovation’ to my thoughts.

If you have ever read ‘The Goal’ by Eliyahu M. Goldratt, you will know about the ‘Theory of Constraints’ (TOC). And you will also have an idea that it can significantly help your business.

At Industry Partners Australia we are privileged to work closely with Lewis Trigger, whose mentor was Dr. Eli Goldratt , the founder of TOC. Over the years, Lewis  has expanded on TOC with the process of Constraint Innovation.

We are often asked, “I like the idea of Constraint Innovation’, but where do I start?”

In consultation with Lewis, we have looked at this request and have designed a complementary introductory working group to help you see where ‘Constraint Innovation’ can help your business.

This 2½hr introduction will follow a simple example of ‘Constraint Innovation’, allow you to discuss your specific challenges in Breakout rooms, and see how the process can help.

Lewis presents a complete turnaround in how we treat our constraints.

He shows managers how to value their constraints by leveraging them - to look after them, to protect them from nasty surprises, and so enable managers to deliver consistently better results from the resources you already have.

After all, Constraints and bottlenecks are what ultimately control the output of your business.

This working group aims to demonstrate how your challenges can be addressed through Constraint Innovation. Should you choose to proceed to a deeper level, Lewis will be available to provide further training in this process.

Through Lewis’s powerful and practical workshop, you will internalise the techniques of managing your constraints to optimise outcomes.

Lewis was first introduced to the Theory of Constraints (ToC) over 25 years ago by its founder Dr. Eli Goldratt. After studying with Eli, he came to realise that there were vast untapped resources still sitting in organisations waiting to be harnessed; and so began his journey of Constraint Innovation.

Lewis Trigger is a recognised international expert in Constraint Innovation. Australian-born, Israel resident, Lewis is an industrial engineer (MBA, MSc, PMP), with over 25 years of experience in applying Theory of Constraints (TOC) within the Israeli military’s maintenance; engineering, and logistics systems, within government and private industry.

It is his goal to guide a “Change in mindset” about how we view and utilise the resources at our disposal, regardless of the organisation’s vision, industry, or location. Lewis is passionate about the results that this way of thinking achieves and the changes it has on people's perception of reality.

Lewis has shared his expertise through his workshops to many leading Australian organisations such as Rio Tinto, Newcrest Mining, Iluka Resources, Schweppes / Asahi, Visy, Arnott’s, The Australian Submarine Corporation, The Adelaide Health Service, Government agencies at a Federal, State, and Local level. He has also been active in the Indian market.
