Specialist Non-Surgical Knee Masterclass

The course will feature a live assessment and management of two complex knee patients and discussion on the clinical reasoning and management. The theory and practical workshop will by research-bound with evidence-informed application, with practical, postgraduate-level strategies you can use with patients immediately! It is tailored towards clinical practice, and it will improve your clinical skills to confidently manage all types of knee conditions.

Dr Kieran Richardson and Dr Taishi Ezaki are running a clinical knee masterclass workshop covering:

Day 1

5pm to 8pm Central Queensland University Cairns

• A live Specialist Physiotherapy assessment on two complex knee patients
• Clinical reasoning and discussion of patient assessment/management

Day 2

9am to 5pm Cairns Hospital D block 2nd floor

• Evidence based theory on non-surgical ACL management
• Bracing protocols to enhance ACL healing in the acute phase
• Assessment and rehabilitation of meniscus injuries
• Management of different types of meniscus tears (acute to chronic)
• Reconceptualising meniscus healing
• Return to sport and injury prevention
