Specialized Glazing Session
Event description
These glazing sessions are for past ceramic students and customers who have previously made clay pieces with us that have been through there first firing and are ready for painting. One of our ceramic teachers will give you a brief introduction on using the specialized glazes and will then be available if you have any questions while you paint your items. Once you have glazed the items you will leave them with us for two weeks so we can put them through there final firing to make them water proof and food safe. You will be provided with a receipt on the night, please bring this in with you after two weeks to collect your items. We do not contact you to let you know your pieces are ready, they will be here waiting for you. You simply come back in to pick them up after 2 weeks and within 2 months, we do not keep your pieces for longer than 2 months due to our storage limitability.
If you are unsure as to if your previously built piece is ready for glazing please give us a call to check before booking this ticket.
The session itself is two hours long with plenty of time in between to relax and enjoy the night. We meet at 6pm for a 6:30pm start, a short break will be provided during the session as well. The studio session is $20 which includes guidance from one of our ceramic tutors. Glazes will be charged on top of this cost at $16.00/kg of ceramics.
For example if the piece you are painting weighs 400g, the glazing cost will be $6.40.
Our Bar will be open to cater for all your Sipping requirements and our kitchen is now open evenings too! Feel free to come earlier to enjoy a meal - our bar section and Menu is available from 5pm!
Please note: We are NOT a traditional venue with a quiet classroom. At our venue you may find other creatives working on their own projects like making a drink carry case, building and hammering a rustic key holder together or using the pottery wheels. We are all about creating a fun, lively venue filled with laughter!
Places are limited so please enrol via the ticket link on this event as soon as possible.
Entrance to our venue is from the carpark at the back of 5 Mackinnon street, Rockingham
