Come along for an afternoon and evening of connection, fun, food, music and a little bit of romance!

Table Talk is bringing people together for a Speed Dating & Karaoke event at Eddie’s Grub house, because you never know who you might meet.

Our speed dating session isn't just about meeting a potential love interest. It’s also a chance to make a new friend, meet new people, have a laugh and enjoy a fun afternoon in a relaxed environment.

Speed Dating

4:30pm – 6:00pm

Get ready to meet a bunch of new people through a fun and easy-going speed dating experience.

Whether you're hoping to meet someone special, looking to expand your social circle, or simply want to get out, have a laugh and meet some new faces, this event is for you!

Food & Nibbles

From 6:00pm

Stick around after speed dating and enjoy food and nibbles available from Eddie’s Grubhouse.

Please note: food is an additional cost and is not included in the event entry price.

It’s also Wing Night at Eddie’s, so if you're feeling hungry, there will be options available to order.

Please note that members of the public may still be at Eddie’s Grubhouse during the evening and can come into order food or takeaway.

Karaoke

6:30pm – 8:00pm

Then it’s time to grab the microphone!

Join us for Karaoke from 6:30pm – 8:00pm, hosted by local woman and person living with disability,

Come prepared to sing, cheer each other on and have some fun.

Whether you're a karaoke superstar or someone who prefers to cheer from the sidelines, everyone is welcome to get involved.

Accessibility Information

We want to be completely transparent about accessibility.

Unfortunately, Eddie’s Grubhouse is located in a heritage building and is not fully accessible.

There is one step at the entrance, and unfortunately, the toilets are not accessible.

We recognise that this isn't ideal, particularly for our first Table Talk disability-focused event. However, we felt that creating opportunities for people to connect and putting on an event was better than not putting one on at all.

We are committed to creating more accessible events in the future and will be looking at a range of venues, including Eddie’s Grubhouse, for future Table Talk events.

We also wanted to create an opportunity for people living with disability to experience something a little different. Eddie’s Grubhouse is a unique retro-style bar with a really fun atmosphere, and we think they will help us make this a special night for everyone who attends.

Opportunities to experience venues like this, socialise in a bar environment, meet new people and enjoy a night of speed dating, food and karaoke aren't always readily available to people living with disability. We wanted to create that opportunity rather than wait for the perfect venue to come along.

We will also be hosting more events in the Tweed Heads area, including an accessible disco in the future, so keep your eyes peeled!
