Amanda Burnby Dementia Consultant & Physiotherapist, Absolute Care Therapy
Amanda founded Absolute Care Therapy where she uses Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST) to help people living with dementia to maintain their cognitive function, communication, and confidence. A physiotherapist with over 20 years’ experience in reablement, rehabilitation, and dementia care, Amanda has played a key role in setting up Perth’s largest community rehabilitation program, Rehab in the Home.
Naomi Moylan Dementia Support Specialist, Brightwater
Naomi is an occupational therapist who has specialised in supporting and enabling people living with dementia. Prior to working at Brightwater, Naomi was delivering the Care of People Living with Dementia in their Environments (COPE) Program working with care partners to support their family member remaining in the home. The program is now being delivered by the OTs in the YOD Allied Health Team at Brightwater
Dr Nathan D’Cunha Associate Professor University of Canberra
Nathan’s research is focused on people with dementia and their care partners, spanning reablement and rehabilitation interventions for those living in the community and residential care. He is currently leading the research and evaluation into Sustainable Personalised Interventions for Cognition, Care and Engagement (SPICE) program which is a multicomponent rehabilitation intervention for people with dementia and their care partners delivered by Canberra Health Services.
