This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

The art of weaving has been an integral part of Aboriginal culture for years. The knowledge and skills have been handed down through the generations, and now you can learn it too.

During the autumn school holidays, join Shared Knowledge’s expert weavers and learn how to weave with resources right here in the Centennial Parklands. You’ll also hear all about the historic use of native plants and how local Aboriginal peoples identify and utilise them.

All materials provided and included.

This program is designed for children ages 5 to 12 years and children must be accompanied by an adult.

You can visit the Ian Potter Children’s WILD PLAY Garden before or after the program for even more free play.
