Westfield Southland's 2023 Local Heroes winner Marine Mammal Foundation is thrilled to host a week of excitement and discovery. A variety of engaging activities that blend creativity, education, and conservation, perfect for young ocean enthusiasts. Here’s a glimpse of what we have planned:

Located: Kids Club on level 2, near Toy World.

July 9 & 12:
Get crafty, design and colour your own burrunan dolphin, marine mammals, word searches and, more. 

July 10 & 14: Booking required
Explore Marine Artefacts: Shark eggs, sponges, soft coral and, more. This interactive exploration provides a tactile learning experience about the diverse life forms found in our oceans.

Underwater Eavesdropping: Discover the sounds of the underwater world at our listening stations. Experience the enchanting songs of whales and the echolocation clicks of dolphins. Learn how these marine mammals communicate in their natural habitats.

July 11 & 13: Booking required
Dolphin Discovery Presentation: Join our Dolphin Discovery presentations where kids can learn about the amazing world of dolphins. Using dolphin skulls, children will identify individual dolphins and understand their behaviors.

Conservation Efforts: Learn how we can all contribute to conserving and protecting critically endangered species. These sessions highlight practical steps and actions everyone can take to make a positive impact on marine life conservation.

July 9 & 13 
Special Guest: Bella the Burrunan Dolphin is an ambassador for her species and will help educate and inspire young minds.
