Event description

Black cats and witches hats...come doodle and sketch some classic spooks and beasties (and cuties) with Felix.

This art class is all about using your hands to help you focus, learning a skill to quiet your thoughts, and drawing something silly this Halloween season because art should be fun! This time we will learn how to draw quick portraits and make a spooky, Addams family style drawing of you and your friends or family.

We’ll learn a mindfulness technique to help you decompress when stressed or have racing thoughts, and pair it up with learning to draw some fun creatures. By combining mindfulness and sketching, it can be easier to focus on your art instead of solely on your thoughts, and it’s a practice you can do whether you have a canvas or the margins of your notebook!

No prior knowledge or art skills necessary, everyone is welcome!

    Who will be teaching?

Felix (they/them) can be found with a coffee and sketchbook in cafes, parks, or
their hammock at home. They split their time doodling, walking, and
counselling queer and neurodiverse folks in their private practice.

They're hoping to find more spaces to combine art, mental health, and making friends!
You can check out their art on their instagram or talk mental health and neurodiversity at www.unmasktherapy.com
