Spotlighting for Nocturnal Mammals

Join our ecologists searching for nocturnal mammals at our research site near Heathcote!

These surveys will take place after dusk and involve walking slowly and quietly along transects (tracks) taking care to observe all parts of the canopy for eyeshine or movement. Group sizes and ages will be limited for this activity. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian.

Guests should bring a spotlight or good quality head torch, close toed shoes and cold weather clothing, and are welcome to bring binoculars or cameras.
