Spotlighting Night Walk on Gateway Island West
Event description
Join Parklands Rangers for a night walk in the bush spotlighting for nocturnal native wildlife along the Murray.Â
Parklands have been working with the community restoring the native plants to the area in recent years to support native wildlife. We'll be looking out for possums, gliders, owls and more...
Recommended for adults and children 12+ due to rough terrain and proximity to deep, fast water.
Where: Meet at the 'Stockies bridge'
What to expect: We will be walking on natural, unpaved and possibly uneven surfaces with slip and trip hazards.Â
What to bring: Please wear warm clothes, closed shoes and bring a personal torch, and remember; quiet is key!
Weather watch:Â This walk will go ahead unless there are floods, thunderstorms or heavy rain predicted.Â
Registration prior to the event is essential for communication, safety and insurance purposes.Â
This community event has been made possible with the support of the Victorian Government. Photo: A Daeche
