A Springtime Walk in Barrm Birrm

Barrm Birrm, place of many yam roots, is the bushland at Riddell’s backdoor. Grasses and wildflowers thrive under light tree cover. Sold off as a subdivision in the mid 1970s, but with no building permitted, the bush is undisturbed.

Now it’s Springtime and the wattles are out. Take the kids out exploring. Treat yourself to some time in the bush.

We will make our way along kangaroo trails, beside one of Barrm Birrm’s creeks. Your guide will be Dr Ross Colliver, who lives beside this bushland and knows it well.

This will be a be a great way to get to know this area and learn how to find your way around it.

You'll get two maps of Barrm Birrm to refer to on our walk and to take home.

To sweeten an already delicious offering, at the end of the walk we will have a frozen treat for the kids, and a cup of tea/coffee for the rest of us.

Sturdy walking shoes, water and clothing appropriate to the conditions required. We love our dogs but, due to conditions and for everyone's safety, ask you to please leave them behind.
