ONLINE: Spring gardening workshop with Dr Compost
Event description
Join Dr Compost online to learn how to grow and plant seedlings at Dr Compost’s free spring gardening workshop and look forward to delicious fresh veggies harvested from your own garden.
With over 20 years of veggie gardening in our sub-Alpine/Mediterranean climate, Dr Compost’s top tips will cover all you need to know about starting your own veggie garden.
Find out how to grow from seed, transplant seedlings and stagger plantings to avoid gluts. Learn how to use your kitchen scraps as compost to add life to your soil, increase its water-holding capacity and feed your plants.
There'll be plenty of time for a Q&A so bring along all your gardening and composting questions!
Sign up for your free ticket to join Dr Compost, and hosts, the Queenstown Lakes District Libraries from the comfort of your own home (or garden) on Saturday 18 September at 11am.
The Dr Compost home-composting project is funded by Queenstown Lakes District Council and delivered by Wastebusters.
