    Event description

Join us for our Spring Harvest Long Table Dinner on Friday, October 11th, 2024.

This dinner is more than a meal – it’s a celebration of Northey Street City Farm's 30-year journey. We invite our guests to reconnect with community, food, and the land that sustains us.

The evening will feature a three course shared-style menu, crafted by bush tukka chef and Eastern Arrernte woman, Tanika Orr, of Nooks & Cooks. Tanika will prepare a seasonal menu using locally grown produce cooked on the coals, alongside First Nations stories of connection to the land and native ingredients. The menu will feature produce from our City Farm gardens, gathered bush tukka foods and ingredients from our Organic Farmers Market community of local sustainable growers.

Twilight Tour: (Please arrive by 5:30pm if you wish to join the tour)

The evening will commence with a guided twilight tour of Northey Street City Farm. Guests will explore our kitchen gardens, native bushfoods garden and other hidden groves, experiencing the essence of our Urban Permaculture Farm.

    Long Table Dinner:

After enjoying welcome drinks in our Garden Bar (City Farm Nursery), guests will be seated at long tables on our Village Green lawned area, dining under the stars (weather permitting) and surrounded by nature.

We hope you can join us for a memorable evening of celebration, connection and community.

The Spring Harvest Long Table Dinner is a major fundraiser event for Northey Street City Farm. Proceeds from the event will support our ongoing programs in Permaculture education and environmental and social sustainability.

We’d like thank our event sponsors for their generous support of this event: Yangarra Estate Vineyard, Stone & Wood, and our amazing stallholders Brisbane Certified Organic, Leavain Bakery and Sherwood Rd Organics.

    * Tickets to this event are limited and close on Saturday 5th October or when sold out. Ticket includes a welcome drink on arrival (botanical spritz, wine or beer), non-alcoholic beverages and a three course meal. Alcoholic beverages (wine and beer) will be available to purchase from the bar. Please provide details of any dietary requirements in the notes section for each guest at time of booking.
