Hostinformation
Empowering rural communities to improve youth mental health and reduce youth suicide.
Live4Life's programs are led by a network of local organisations and schools who partner to lead and sustain the Live4Life model throughout the community.
Live4Life focuses on teaching students when and how to seek mental health support. Its programs drive help-seeking behaviour amongst young people both for themselves and on behalf of their friends, and builds competency amongst adults in the community to support young people
There are four key components of the Live4Life model:
1. Deliver teen and accredited youth mental health first aid training in schools and the wider community.
2. Create local partnerships to lead conversations about mental health that reduce stigma.
3. Promote young leaders as Mental Health Ambassadors.
4. Youth Live4Life mentor and support staff to implement the Live4Life model and reach sustainability.
Live4Life is helping young people living in rural and regional Victoria to resolve and prevent mental health challenges.
