Event description

It's time for a spring clean - of our houses and our minds! Brush away the cobwebs and refresh your mind and outlook on life.

The Central Coast Meditation Centre is happy to offer a new Spring Meditation Course for you.

Starting this Sunday, the 8th of September 2024, Lan-Hoa Le will lead eight sessions of Calm-Abiding Meditation classes.

Each Sunday from 10:00 to 11:30am, Lan-Hoa will guide you in the techniques of Calm-Abiding Meditation, which is the type of meditation we have been practicing in the last Sunday of the month meditations. Lan-Hoa will provide more detailed instructions on this method of meditation, including the finer points on the meditation posture, different breathing techniques, and how to apply the teachings in everyday life.

This course is a great opportunity to receive comprehensive and in-depth teachings on meditation. By learning these teachings and practising meditation regularly, you will definitely feel the results in your everyday life with more spaciousness of mind, a warmer heart and better body posture.

The dates for the course are as follows:

Sunday, 8 September 10am - 11.30am
Sunday, 15 September 10am - 11.30am
Sunday, 22 September 3.30pm - 5.00pm* (this is the only class held at a different time)
Sunday, 6 October 10am - 11.30am
Sunday, 13 October 10am - 11.30am
Sunday, 20 October 10am - 11.30am
Sunday, 3 November 10am - 11.30am
Sunday, 10 November 10am - 11.30am

We will still be doing the last Sunday of the month Meditation and Talk each month from 10am - 11.30am, which you are welcome to attend also. Come and show us what you have learnt!

It is recommended to come along to all eight sessions as you will gain the most benefit from the course by receiving all the detailed teachings. However, you are welcome to book in for single sessions as well.

This course is by donation, and all donations collected will go towards the Sakya Temple of Peace, a Tibetan Buddhist temple, currently being built in Canberra. More information can be found at www.sakya.com.au/stop

The suggested donation is $100 for the whole course, $15 for a single class. After booking in for a free ticket, you can choose to donate.
