Event description

CANZ Southern Branch Committee is excited to invite you to their annual Spring Meeting and funeral planning workshop with Sally Cattle.

Agenda:

9:45am - 10:15am: Meet and Greet morning tea

10.30am - 12:00pm: Opening & Lighting of the candle

Sally Cattle, Celebrant, will present a workshop on what is an End-of-Life Doula, which she is.

Sally has been a Marriage and Funeral Celebrant since 2018, working alongside families and couples during significant life transitions. By sharing both joyful and mournful moments, Sally has developed a strong connection with people, fostering discussions and promoting understanding around topics related to death and dying. Her passion for supporting families during their most vulnerable times stems from her experience in hospice care and the health sector. Now, she is dedicated to transforming our approach to understanding and supporting end-of-life experiences, ensuring that everyone can learn about the journey of dying. Through love, compassion, inspiration, and education, Sally strives to connect with the community.

12:00pm - 12:30pm: Lunch and networking

1:00pm - 3:00pm: Sally will lead us through planning our own funeral workshop.

In the afternoon, Sally looks forward to leading a workshop where participants can explore and discuss their funeral plans. She creates a safe, warm, and inviting space for reflection on wishes for funeral arrangements. The session guides attendees through a workbook designed to provoke thoughts and ideas related to their preferences. Workbooks are available for $25 each. (These will be available on the day, payment to Sally)

3:00pm: Closing thought

Ticket sales close midday Friday, 22 August 2025.

Members and non-members welcome.

There will also be a Sales & Donation Table, so please bring produce, items to sell to other celebrants and/or products suitable for giving to a charity in the area that will be chosen to receive donations.

We look forward to seeing you there!
