    Event description

Spring will be here before we know it and for parents with young families it can be difficult to find the time to prepare. This workshop will help us create a ‘doable’ spring garden for our families - whether we want to grow your own greens or just have some flowers for ourselves and the bees to enjoy. As our preparation and planting becomes more rhythmical it is so much easier to build our gardens, gradually adding a few new plants each year.

We will look at the essentials of soil preparation, seeds and seedlings, what will work in our garden, simple pest control and how to get young children involved. Gardening is such an opportunity to foster young children’s sense of wonder and to inspire a relationship with the natural world that will live in them into adulthood. Through the use of biodynamics we can foster a healing relationship with mother nature which in turn brings healing and nourishment to our families in every way.
