SPRING SACRED SOUND JOURNEY
Description
Spring Sacred Sound Journey
Saturday 26 September | 2:00–4:00pm
DDF Dance Studios (upstairs), Māngere Bridge
An immersive 90-minute experience with Catherine, created around the energy of spring, renewal and heart opening.
Held on the eve of the September full moon, this journey offers space to soften, reconnect and make room for what is ready to emerge as we move into the new season.
What to expect
The 90-minute experience begins with time to arrive, settle into the space and be guided through a grounding meditation.
From there, Catherine will gradually guide you into an intuitive live sound journey, weaving crystal singing bowls, gong, drums, shruti box, chimes, acoustic guitar, intuitive vocal tones, chants and singing into an evolving soundscape.
The journey moves through different layers of sound, rhythm, stillness and intensity, gently exploring themes of the heart - softening, opening, connection, joy and receiving.
You may experience deep relaxation, drifting between waking and sleep, emotion, imagery, physical sensations, reflection or simply stillness. There is nothing you need to achieve.
Towards the end, the sound gradually softens and you’ll be gently guided back into awareness of your body, breath and surroundings, with time for grounding and integration.
We’ll then close the experience gently with a nourishing turmeric cacao latte made with oat milk, offering a little extra time to land, connect and ease back into the rest of your day.
Please advise Catherine in advance of any allergies or dietary requirements so these can be taken into consideration.
