Drop-in Activities

Visit the AlburyCity Libraries and Musuem throughout the school holidays and explore the various drop-in activities or complete the Treasure Hunt to get a prize.
Ages: All ages, children are required to be supervised by an adult.

No charge or bookings required for drop-in programs.

Button Bouquet - Lavington Library

Ages 8+ years. Cost Free
Celebrate Spring by making a button bouquet. We have lots of interesting buttons, so find your favourites and twist and shape them into a button bouquet with colourful florist wire.

Sharpie Tie-Dye - Lavington Library
Friday 3 October, 2.30pm – 3.30pm Ages: 5+ years. Cost $3.00
Bring along a white piece of clothing to decorate using coloured sharpies and using a dropper to apply rubbing alcohol. Watch the brilliant tie dye effect transform your piece of clothing. Please wear some old clothes.

Goodnight Storytime with Teddy Bear Sleepover Party - Albury LibraryMusuem
Wednesday 1 October, 5.45pm – 6.15pm. Cost Free

Pop on your favourite pyjamas, pick out your favourite teddy and bring them along to story time with milk and cookies! You will then be invited to leave your teddy behind (don’t worry we will take extra special care with them) for a sleepover in the Albury LibraryMuseum. We will be keeping tabs on what the teddies get up to and posting on our Facebook page for you to follow along. We hope they don’t get up too much mischief!

Sew Your Own Bag - Albury LibraryMusuem

Strictly Ages: 8+ years. Cost $7.00
Learn how to use a sewing machine and make your very own bag. Decorate it to match your personality and style. Your unique creation will be both practical and stylish. All material and equipment provided.

Grass Heads - Albury LibraryMusuem
Tuesday 7 October, 10.30am – 11.30am. Ages: 5+ years. Cost $5.00

Celebrate Spring by getting your hands dirty and making your very own Grass Head! Once it grows, have fun cutting and styling it’s grassy main at home.

Important Notes:

- Please be aware that children MUST be supervised by an adult for the duration of each program. Supervising adults DO NOT need to book a place for themselves, please only book for the children attending, except when booking for Family Movie Matinee - everyone attending needs a ticket at this event.

- Our programs always book out and have long waiting lists. If you are unable to attend, please cancel your tickets in Humanitix, this will allow someone on the waiting list to attend.

- We will hold your place until 10 minutes after the advertised start time, after this time places will be offered to other attendees.

- Please check the location of the program carefully, this page lists programs at both the LibraryMuseum and Lavington Library.
