Spring Sounds: Ginkgobiloba (Argentina)

Ginkgobiloba is a trio from Santa Fe, Argentina, featuring Emiliano Manuel Beltzer (bass, guitar, vocals), Demian Pozzo (guitar, vocals), and Jorge Ernesto Mockert (drums, percussion, vocals). For more than two decades the band has developed a distinctive sound that fuses Latin American folk traditions with rock and jazz, creating a powerful and original musical identity. Their repertoire centres on strong songwriting that reinterprets rhythms and forms such as chacarera, vidala and candombe, with a rich sonic palette that includes piano, accordion, percussion, electronic textures and improvisation. Live, the band has an extremely maleable sound, feeling at home on big loud stages and small acoustic environments alike.
