Spring Swaps | Clothes Swap at UON NUspace

Are you looking for a fun and sustainable way to level up your wardrobe?

Join in us for a clothes swap event at the University of Newcastle this September at the City Campus (NUspace).

Exchange up to 10 gently used clothing items, shoes, or accessories that you no longer wear but are still in good condition. 

Light refreshments available for all participants on the day!

Youth volunteers are needed to help on the day (18-24y), with limited $100 volunteer bursaries available as a token of gratitude - email hello@thefullcirclecollective.com.au to express your interest! You will still be able to participate in the swapping activities and you will also receive a free ticket for your help!

Overview of the day:

5.30pm : Clothes Swap Check-in

• Meet our volunteers at the check-in counter to exchange up to 10 items for the equivalent number of tokens (these will be used later to go “shopping”!)

• While everyone checks-in and the items are being sorted and hung by our volunteers, you can enjoy some light refreshments or shop through our Rescue Rack of clothes for free.

6:30 pm : Swapping

• At 6:30pm we will give an overview of how the swapping event will work, and hear from some local sustainability, fashion, and textiles experts.

• Then the swapping will begin!

• Change rooms and mirrors will be available on the day

• When you have made your selection, meet our volunteers at the check-out counter to exchange your tokens for your new-to-you items of clothing!

Spaces are limited so booking is essential. Ticket price is $10 - or for those who need it, there is a no questions asked free option. We just want to see you there!
