The Dorado Experiment
The Dorado Experiment is a live, unrepeatable psychedelic jam-rock journey laced with deep classic rock 'n' roll vibes - a band built around the idea that the best music happens in the moment and never the same way twice. Formed in Whakatū Nelson in 2024, The Dorado Experiment have a single purpose - to lead a musical journey into the soul.
Music Sucks
Music Sucks is an indie rock band based in Whakatū/Nelson. It started in Dunedin in 2011 as Sam Wilkinson’s songwriting project and has featured a rotating cast of musicians ever since. The current lineup met at an open mic night mid-2025. Music Sucks has released two albums, Periscope Straws (2012) and Road Cone City (2018), plus various singles such as Wack Job (2020), Grown Ups (2025), and Mr Brown (2026).

Very exciting new addition to Nelson’s Music scene, mixing some sort of indie folk/soul/dream pop/neo-psych/space-jazz type situation.
Fallon & Friends
Fallon is an up and coming singer songwriter and musician from Sydney, AUS currently residing in Nelson NZ. Influenced by old time blues and soul musicians as well as new style r&b, soul and pop combined for ultimate juicy freshness. See her performing a show with her raw and real and sometimes hilarious original songs, backed by a bunch of her mates to create the project “Fallon & Friends”.
Ngaio
Ngaio writes songs. Some of them are unfortunately quite personal. She will be joined by a few friends for harmonies, noise, and whatever happens when sad songs get a bit of a groove. You might dance. You might just lie in the sun and think about things. Both are good.
