Walk on the Wild Side! Create Your Own Spring Tonic WORKSHOP
Event description
Every Spring Mother Nature explodes with a bounty of wild plants that we can utilize to help boost our immune system, facilitate detoxification, and nourish our bodies with an abundance of vitamins & minerals.
Join local Colorado herbalist Mari Marques-Worden, The ThymeKeeper, as she teaches us how to harness the healing of Spring through this cycle’s power of rebirth, by understanding the return of upward energy in a leaf’s new growth.
We invite you to take a walk on the wild side and jump into folk medicine in action as we explore the health benefits of plants. From field to jar, participate in the process of making your very own foraged medicinal tonic.
Learn how to:
Gather & forage herbs respectfully!
Make a multivitamin even kids will take!
Kick start your body through natural detox methods!
Treat wounds & stop bleeding on contact with common weeds!
Remedy respiratory ailments such as seasonal colds or asthma like conditions!
How to process & store your tonic, enabling you to apply your new learned skills to future self made concoctions!
We ask that you bring:
a small jar
paper for notetaking
weather friendly gear
water to drink
healthy respect for the land and her inhabitants
