Women’s Sisterhood Spring Gathering - Yin Yoga and Art Immersion in Darebin Parklands

Hello Sister,

There is more than just the weather that changes through spring. Suddenly the pace of life begins to quicken and before we know it, the end of the year is nearing.

This is a gathering to celebrate spring, and the beauty that has bloomed outside in nature, as well as within us.

As the days stretch longer and life picks up its pace again, we sit together to connect, reflect, and nourish our roots.

With a yin yoga and sound bathing session to begin, come home to yourself and our environment before we move into an art immersion. This art activity looks at flowers, and we will make our own paints from their petals. You will have the option to make either some inspiration, affirmation or vision cards (or whatever you like!)

Finishing the gathering with a pot luck picnic, to deepen connections or continue painting.

Sisterhood events are for all who identify as women, or for those who feel most themselves in a women's only space, aged 17 and above.

Sisterhood events recognise that not all women are born with wombs, and welcome all into the sisterhood.

Mothers are welcome to bring babies in arms.

Where: Darebin Parklands, Alphington (exact location disclosed to ticket holders)

When: Sisterhood Gathering Sunday 18th October

Gathering Time: 10am - 1pm

Potluck Time: 1pm - 2pm

What to expect:

• Tea and snacks on arrival

• Yin yoga and sound bathing

• Guided reflection

• Watercolour painting activity (no experience required!)

• Pot luck picnic lunch

What to bring:

• Yoga mat

• Cushion

• Water bottle

• Journal and pen (optional)

• Some flowers to add to the circles altar

• Mug or keep cup (optional)

If staying for the pot luck between 1pm-2pm, please bring:

• Small picnic plate to share

• Eating container + cutlery

What is provided:

• Watercolour paints and brushes

• Pencils

• Paper cards

What you will leave with:

• Between 1 - 3 self-made affirmation, inspiration or vision cards

This location is accessible via train and bus.

The closest train station and bus stop is Alphington Station.

How does the ticket pricing work?

Like a forest, we hold each other up. Choose the tier that feels most honest for where you're truly at right now.

Roots $35 - For those who need

Understory $45 - Covers expenses

Canopy $65 - For those who can

Emergent $90 - your own ticket, plus a place for someone who truly can't pay, no questions asked.
