Join Chandra Brown, founder and director of the Missoula-based Freeflow Institute, for an evening steeped in the elements of springtime: movement, emergence, and energy.
In this unique and experimental workshop, you can expect to write, move, and breathe. We will stretch our physical bodies, moving through a few friendly and helpful yoga flows. (Bodies of all shapes, sizes, and abilities are welcome!) We’ll play with some breathing techniques in hopes of stirring our creative energies from their winter hibernation. We’ll explore the stories that exist within water, considering the ways in which water flows through ancient and contemporary mythologies, etymologies, and ecologies. We will write into the gathering momentum of spring, mining our shared space for the seeds of stories and building creative community. Curious humans of all backgrounds and skill levels are invited. There is no prerequisite of prior experience with writing, yoga, or breathwork. All are welcome.
Light refreshments provided. Attendees are welcome to bring additional food, snacks, and/or drinks.
