Event description

Sprung presents Dis-co Ball 2024, a radically inclusive dance celebration in the Northern Rivers region. This event brings together artists with disability and/or who are d/Deaf alongside the wider community, featuring pop-up performances, dance, and creative expressions that redefine glamour and inclusivity.

Dis-co Ball 2024 will light up the A&I Hall in Bangalow on Saturday, November 23, 2024. Doors open at 5:30 pm, with the main show running from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm.

We are a not-for-profit arts organisation based in the Northern Rivers of New South Wales and cater to emerging artists and community across a 5,000km expanse, providing dance and performance workshops and training for people with disability or who are d/Deaf.

We develop original dance and performance works through collaborative and disability-led processes with our Dance Ensemble; and deliver accessible and inclusive training and participatory arts experiences through our community program. We are proud to provide these critical development opportunities, pathways and presentation opportunities for new contemporary works, showcasing and supporting artists and communities with disability or who are d/Deaf.

Our values underpin everything we do and the way we work; with respect, creativity, collaboration and rigour.

We are agents for social change and promote community-engaged, disability leadership and inclusive arts methodologies across our wide reaching community, partnerships and collaborations.
