Hey Melbourne, fancy celebrating the Sri Lankan Tamil New Year with us*? Come and join us on Tuesday 16th April at Collingwood's Molly Rose Brewing, with former refugee Chef Niro Vithyasekar from Tuka Tuka Kothu Roti Man. He will be cooking a 3-course feast on the night, vegetarians and vegans are catered for too. There's also a special dance performance to bring the New Year vibes.

There will be lots of drinks available thanks to the Molly Rose Brewing team. And there's more, we're doing a Raffle Draw, with prizes including books and a Hamper with Bite! Raffle sales will be donated to Palmera, a charity that provides food relief to villages in Sri Lanka. Guests can also opt to donate a portion of their tickets to Palmera.

*Welcome Merchant is a social enterprise that collaborates with refugee-owned businesses. We promote them for free on our online directory and social media channels. We also run free skill building workshops for these entrepreneurs. We split the ticket costs and food costs with the refugee chef partner 50/50. Your ticket purchase will go a long way to helping refugees and people seeking asylum.
