Our Special Guests

Emcee for the Evening - Sofie Formica (Radio Host)

Afternoons with Sofie Formica on Brisbane's Radio 4BC launched on October 4, 2021. The Monday to Friday magazine style program features interviews with local and visiting guests, regular segments, breaking news and listener talkback.

For anyone who grew up in the 80's and 90's and watched a lot of TV, you may remember Sofie as the host of Saturday Disney and Now You See It, or perhaps you were a fan of Just Kidding! the prime-time show hosted with Steve Jacobs for the Nine Network.

(Hannah grew up watching the beautiful Sofie)

Dave Hughes

(Australian Comedian/Radio Co-Host & Television Presenter)

Naturally charming and unmistakably Australian, Dave Hughes is one of this country's sharpest comedic minds. By turning everyday foibles into rich and hilarious routines delivered in his classic laconic style, Hughesy owns any stage he appears on.

Having dominated comedy clubs and stages for decades across the country, Dave's comedy career has also expanded into television and radio. Dave currently co-hosts the hugely popular radio show, The Morning Crew with Hughesy, Ed and Erin on the HIT Network. He is a judge on the Network 10's The Masked Singer, where his incredible wardrobe, dad dancing and bonkers guesses have been the highlights of this unique, runaway hit show.

Dave appears regularly on all your favourite Aussie TV programs including The Hundred on Channel Nine, Celebrity Gogglebox and Would I Lie To You? Australia (both on Network Ten). Dave's TV show Hughesy We Have a Problem, premiered on Network Ten in early 2018 to rave reviews and big audiences and ran for five consecutive seasons.

The legendary Band "Dragon"

Purveyors of Antipodean anthems and Australian Rock since 1973.

893 shows, 12,900 songs played since the reformation in 2006.

Fundraising Goal

Our fundraising target for our Spring Gala is $120,000. With our two personalised Education Programs "H.A.L.T" and "Hannah's Story" both being delivered this year by our two Educators Dave Kramer (H.A.L.T.) and Michael Jeh (Hannah's Story).  As we receive no Government Funding for the delivery of these two initiatives we rely entirely on sponsorship and donations to educate and raise vital awareness in the DFV space.

H.A.L.T. Program will be delivered to classrooms around Brisbane educating young children focusing on respectful relationships.

Hannah's Story has already commenced its rollout to Community Groups and Organisations in Queensland and New South Wales helping to recognise the Red Flags in relationships and starting a conversation around coercive control and what this looks like.

We also provide Grants to like-minded grassroots charities who have important initiatives in place supporting their communities in the domestic and family violence space.
