The Talk

Sunday 8th October - Home Base, Subiaco

9:00am -10:00am - Registrations open - Meet the Renew Team over a cup of tea/coffee

9:00am - 10:00am - EVs from members of the Electric Vehicle Assoc of Australia will be in the car park to talk about driving and owning an EV

10:00am - 12:30pm - Passive Solar Basics Talk by Griff Morris

12:30pm - 1:00pm - Lunch (bring your own, there is a fridge) 

The Bus Tour

Sunday 8th October - Home Base, Subiaco

1:00pm - 5:00pm - Bus tour we will visit 4 homes and chat with the owners about how the home works for them, ask what works and what they would change if they were to do it all over again. 

This Bus tour will depart and finish at Home Base.

The homes we will visit on this tour are;

• Leederville Leading Home
• Passive Solar Karrinyup Home
• Reverse Living in Karrinyup
• Scarborough Sustainable Home

The Smarter Sustainable Homes Bus Tour

Sunday 15th October - Solar Dwellings, Mt Hawthorn

10:00am - 3:00pm - Smarter Sustainable Homes Bus Tour. We will visit 4 homes and chat with the owners about how the home works for them, ask what works and what they would change if they were to do it all over again. Houses on this tour will be budget-friendly options.

We will stop for a quick lunch stop in a park - Please bring your own lunch and snacks

This Bus tour will depart and finish at Solar Dwellings.

The homes we will visit on this tour are;

• Ecological Home Bicton 2023
• Handed over
• Starting over
• Strata-stainable
• Work in Progress – This home will be at the “Lock up” stage of construction which will give us a unique opportunity to see some of the construction in progress.

Booking tickets

Ticket Costs include GST (Plus booking fee)

$40 per person - Bus tour (8th October)

$30 per person - Passive Solar Talk (8th October)

$40 per person - Smarter Sustainable Homes Bus Tour (15th October)

Discount Tickets are available for concession card holders and those experiencing financial hardship

Use code DISCOUNT FIVE to receive a $5 discount on the cost of either the talk or bus tour. Please only use the discount code if you are experiencing financial hardship as there is a limited number that we can offer at this rate. A maximum $10 discount can be used per booking.

Know before you go

• Instant confirmation. Please check your email junk folder if you do not receive the confirmation straight away
• No need to print tickets, we would like to reduce the waste where possible
• Water, tea and coffee will be supplied at check in
• Bring your own water bottle, we will be able to refill along the way
• Please bring what you need to take notes
• We will stop at public toilets along the way, do not use homeowners toilets
