Keynote Speaker and Workshop – Kath Murdoch
Building a culture of inquiry from day one!
In this interactive presentation, Kath Murdoch will draw on decades of work in educational learning spaces in Australia and around the world. The focus of this session will be on the ways in which educators can intentionally curate their spaces to support inquiry; design emergent learning engagements to enhance and build on children’s curiosity; document and share learning; and nurture inquiry through play.
Drawing on the key principles that underpin the Early Years Learning Framework and the Australian Curriculum, we will consider the ways in which a culture of inquiry not only supports the development of positive dispositions in our young learners but fosters curiosity, mindfulness, and growth in educators. Kath will share examples from a range of settings and invite participants to dream big about the possibilities for a wonder-filled year ahead.
