St Kilda Babywearing Drop-in
Description
Join South Eastern Babywearing Group for a free, friendly and practical babywearing workshop at St Kilda Playgroup, Betty Day Community Centre.
Whether you're expecting a baby, new to babywearing, having difficulty getting comfortable with your carrier or exploring new options as your baby grows, this workshop offers practical guidance and hands-on learning.
What We Offer
Our workshops combine babywearing education, demonstrations and individual assistance, with opportunities to:
- Learn about safe babywearing using the T.I.C.K.S. guidelines.
- Explore different carrier styles, including stretchy wraps, woven wraps, ring slings, meh dais and buckle carriers.
- Try carriers from our extensive demonstration collection.
- Learn how to position and adjust a carrier for comfort and safety.
- Get help with your own carrier, including fitting and troubleshooting.
- Ask questions and build confidence carrying your baby.
Who Is Welcome?
Expectant parents, parents, grandparents, carers and support people are all welcome.
No previous babywearing experience is needed, and you don't need to own a carrier to participate. Babies and children are welcome too!
What to Bring
Bring your baby and any carriers you already own, particularly if you'd like help with fitting or adjustments.
If you don't have a carrier, that's absolutely fine. We have plenty for you to explore and try.

South Eastern Babywearing Group is part of Southern Natural Parenting Network, a volunteer-run, non-commercial community organisation.
Our education and support are completely free. We don't sell carriers, receive commissions or promote particular brands. Our aim is to help families make informed choices and find safe, comfortable ways to carry their babies and children.
