St Matthew's Church Historic Local Area Walking Tour

Thanks to a petition more than 175 years ago, St Matthew’s Anglican church was built in the centre of a thriving local community. Generations since have responded to the changing needs of the church, reflecting dedication and commitment to the faith and belief of the church. Apart from the church building, land that provided timber for the church can still be seen over First Creek. As well, the original St Matthew’s Day School still exists as a hall in Bridge Street.
