Annual Lansdowne Club St. Patrick's Day Lunch
We welcome you to our 35th annual Lansdowne Club St. Patrick’s Day lunch, which will be held this year on Friday March 11th
at the International Convention Centre in Darling Harbour, starting at 12.00 noon.
The COVID pandemic has once again challenged us all in the past year. We are back to working from home, cancelling holidays, social distancing and generally being apart. Our opportunities for connection with others have been limited. Our club is committed to bringing that connection back. The Irish community are renowned for helping each other and paying that help forward when they can. We at the Lansdowne Club create the platform to help make this happen.
With the current pandemic situation, we have safety as our top priority. Our board has been working hard with the ICC to create a COVID Safe environment which has enabled us to proceed with this superb annual event. We are also strictly following the guidelines from NSW Health and the government and will continue to do so up until the time of the event.
This year we will again be releasing the tickets in two releases. This is to allow for the unlikely event, that we have to comply with a reduced-capacity direction form NSW Health. The First Release will allow us to accommodate 720 members (4sqM), and the Second Release will allow us to accommodate our usual sold-out ballroom (at 2sqM). Be sure to get in fast, to ensure that you have the best seat for the largest St. Patrick’s Day lunch in the world.
This will be a fantastic occasion for our members, the Irish business community and special guests, a day which helps promote the huge contribution we all make to the Australian economy. We anticipate having the Irish Ambassador to Australia, Tim Mawe present and the Consul General Rosie Keane. Similarly, we expect to see representatives of the State and Federal Governments and fingers crossed, a Minister from the Irish Government.
Included in your ticket price is a 3-course meal, 4 hour beverage package, entertainment, comedy and a chance to win some amazing prizes from our raffle.
Our Trade Fair is back again this year. We invite our members to participate in a Trade Fair prior to the event which is a great opportunity to showcase your products and services to the Irish community.
