St Patrick's Pilgrimage 2024
Event description
Come and join Archbishop Julian and other young adults for a two-day pilgrimage in celebration of the feast of St Patrick. Pilgrims will be walking from the iconic Church of St Patrick, Colebrook, to Australia’s oldest continuously-used Catholic Church, St John the Evangelist in Richmond.
The Pilgrimage is open to all young adults from the ages of 16 -35yo. Surrounded by the natural beauty of Tasmania, this event is a great opportunity for personal growth where you are likely to be challenged both physically and spiritually. The two days will include opportunities for reflection, fellowship and prayer.
Gathering at 9:30 am at St John the Evangelist, Richmond, pilgrims will be bussed to Colebook for the opening with Mass at 10:00 am. We will then set-off on a 20 km walk to our campsite, to spend the night under the stars.
The second day we will continue walk another 20 km back to St John the Evangelist Church, Richmond. The pilgrimage concludes in Richmond with a final Mass at 4:30 pm.
Spaces will be limited, so we encourage you to register as soon as possible.
