Staffordshire Moorlands Focus: Effective Bid Writing & Volunteer Management

Staffordshire Moorlands District Council has launched the latest round of funding for Infrastructure Capital grants and Arts, Culture & Heritage projects. In addition Support Staffordshire will be running a Community Social Action Grant for new micro projects.
To support potential applicants, we are running a one-day workshop focused on developing strong, fundable bids aligned with the priorities of these specific grant schemes.

Workshop Overview:
This session is aimed at community organisations, voluntary groups, and individuals considering applying for funding. It will provide detailed guidance on:
Understanding the scope of the grant schemes: infrastructure and arts & culture
Developing a suitable project idea that meets funding criteria and community need
Interpreting common funding terminology including outputs, outcomes, indicators, and impact
Writing a clear and focused application, including budgeting and demonstrating need
Volunteer recruitment and management, which is a key requirement of the scheme
Brief overview of the grant scheme criteria and timeline, with opportunity for Q&A
This practical, content-driven session is designed to improve the quality of applications and increase the likelihood of funding success.
