Event description

Staffordshire Moorlands District Council has launched the latest round of funding for Infrastructure Capital grants and Arts, Culture & Heritage projects. In addition Support Staffordshire will be running a Community Social Action Grant for new micro projects.

To support potential applicants, we are running a one-day workshop focused on developing strong, fundable bids aligned with the priorities of these specific grant schemes.

Date: Tuesday 3rd June

Time: 09:30 AM – 16:30 PM

Venue: Leek Building Society, 50 Saint Edward Street, Leek, ST13 5DL

Cost: Free (registration required)

Workshop Overview:

This session is aimed at community organisations, voluntary groups, and individuals considering applying for funding. It will provide detailed guidance on:

  • Understanding the scope of the grant schemes: infrastructure and arts & culture

  • Developing a suitable project idea that meets funding criteria and community need

  • Interpreting common funding terminology including outputs, outcomes, indicators, and impact

  • Writing a clear and focused application, including budgeting and demonstrating need

  • Volunteer recruitment and management, which is a key requirement of the scheme

  • Brief overview of the grant scheme criteria and timeline, with opportunity for Q&A

This practical, content-driven session is designed to improve the quality of applications and increase the likelihood of funding success.

Please note: Early participation is recommended because the application deadline is approaching quickly.
