STAGE COMBAT
Event description
Come and learn Stage Combat at Christchurch's newest performing arts place-to-be: Altiora, at the beautiful Arts Centre.
Engage in the art of stage combat with stage veteran Danny Lee Syme (Cirko Kali). Learn core fighting skills designed for stage and screen. How to look convincing, or not, depending on the nature of the scene. In this course you'll practice and perform combat abilities that can be comical (slapstick, stunt-falls, Jackie Chan-esque) or quite dramatic (think Shakespearean, movie-clashes, Vikings). These sessions will be accessible, super-fun, and open to all levels of ability.
