STAGE FIGHT CLUB

Come and learn Stage Combat at Christchurch's newest performing arts place-to-be: Altiora, at the beautiful Arts Centre.

Engage in the art of stage combat with seasoned stage veterans David Ladderman (Rollicking Entertainment) and Danny Lee Syme (Cirko Kali). Learn core fighting skills designed for stage and screen. How to look convincing, or not, depending on the nature of the scene. In this course you'll practice and perform combat abilities that can be comical (slapstick, stunt-falls, Jackie Chan-esque) or quite dramatic (think Shakespearean, movie-clashes, Vikings). These sessions will be accessible, super-fun, and open to all levels of ability.

*Conditioning & Flexibility

It is preferable to commit to the whole term. But drop-in sessions are available.
