Stage Management Workshop

Be the glue that holds a production together!


Keep the show rolling with our workshop on Stage Management, presented by stage manager extraordinaire, Lucy Anderson. Learn stage management skills, and get an overview of the stage manager’s responsibility through each stage of the production process.

Plus learn how different members within a stage management team operate together and with other departments, from directors to crew to cast.

Perfect for anyone curious about what goes on behind the curtain. No experience needed — just bring your curiosity.

About Lucy Anderson

Lucy (she/her) is an arts manager based on Naarm with passions in stage, production and company management. A graduate from the Victorian College of the Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Production), Lucy has worked across a variety of productions including on plays such as Production/Stage Manager for Monstrous Theatre on Rootless Cosmopolitans (dir. Suzanne Heywood), You’re The Man (dir. Theresa Borg) and Yentl (dir. Gary Abrahams) which toured to the Sydney Opera House in 2024.

Lucy has recently worked as Assistant Stage Manager on Shirley Valentine (dir. Lee Lewis) in Melbourne, Canberra and Adelaide and is excited to rejoin the company in Sydney in October. Lucy is passionate about working on dance and devised work into the future including the upcoming season of Unreliable with Union House Theatre. Other career highlights include the Stage Manager for the 41st and 42nd Green Room Association Awards and reoccurring work with the National Ballet and Drama Schools in St Kilda.
