Description

Join us at Wellers Hill Bowls Club on Sunday the 11th of October for a wonderful afternoon of indie folk, rock and a bit of everything in between, to celebrate STAN's new single 'What's the Use?', alongside a re-imagined release of 'Don’t Listen To Me'.

Accompanying STAN are local legends The Blankettes + Milly and The Maths Show + Trawlers. Tickets are $15+bf, however we won't turn you away for a lack of funds. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Lineup

  • STAN

    STAN

STAN are a Magan-djin (so-called Brisbane, AU) based three-piece band, refreshingly raw with alt-rock honesty. Vocalist and songwriter Stan crafts every witty and candid lyric with their soul bare, tackling themes of mental health, loss, and addiction. This ensemble will hit you in the feels as STAN invites listeners to find comfort in shared experiences (and your dad will probably love it too!).

  • The Blankettes

    The Blankettes

The Blankettes (pronounced like The Ronettes) are a garage rock 3-piece from Brisbane who worship at the altar of 60s girl groups and anything in a cowgirl hat — especially if it jangles. The band is made up of Grace Pashley on guitar (Full Power Happy Hour, Lackadaisies), Gemma Wyer on bass (Piss Shivers, CNT EVN), and Marnie Vaughn on drums (Married Man, Smallest Horse, No Doz).

  • Trawlers

    Trawlers

Trawlers is a Meanjin-based rock band that formed in 2021. With an intuitive approach to music, Trawlers melds a mixture of Brisbane indie, 90s alternative, and introspective lyricism. The influences of local artists past and present, coalesce into jangly guitars, off-kilter bass, and lyrics that talk about life experiences and nothing beyond the front fence

  • Milly and the Maths Show

    Milly and the Maths Show

With poetic storytelling and a genre-blurring sound that drifts between folk, indie pop, alt-country and dreamscape art rock, Milly and The Maths Show is a family-formed band exploring the universal themes of love, loss, grief, rebirth, war, and peace.
