Event description
Stand-Up at the Studio returns as Aaron Bell brings a new lineup of comedians to Baltimore Avenue. This show starring: Keith From Up Da Block, Kirk Griffiths, Dr. Holly, Meg Goetz, and Paul Carson, will take place on Friday, February 21st at 8pm. Doors for this event will open at 7:30. Tickets for this event are $10–20 sliding scale and can be purchased here or in person at the door.

Keith From Up Da Block (Headliner)
Vernon Keith Ruffin Jr aka Keith From Up Da Block is a Philly born Creative & Performing Artist, Producer & Arts Educator who has shared stages with Jay Z, Kevin Hart & more, racked up millions of views online & appeared on screen with Triumph THE Insult Comic Dog & as Frederick Douglas on the Emmy Award Winning CNN Docu Series: Lincoln Divided We Stand. Through Ruffin Vision Network LLC he also founded The Comedy Jawn & Philadelphia Comedy College.
Kirk Griffiths (Feature)
Kirk Griffiths is a handsome comedian and everybody knows it. He sometimes wishes that he was a magician, but that’s neither here nor there. He has opened for national headliners Mike Birbiglia, Jordan Carlos, Chris Gethard, and many others. Stop reading this and go watch his comedy.
Dr. Holly (Feature)
Dr. Holly is a Philly-based, award-winning screenwriter, actor and improviser. As a therapist turned comedian, her comedy is smart, sassy and always politically incorrect. Her credits include host and performer at San Francisco Sketch Fest, New York Comedy Fest, Don't Tell Comedy (Minneapolis and New Orleans) and Detroit House of Comedy, host and opener for T. Murph.
Meg Goetz (Feature)
Meg Goetz is a Philadelphia based writer and comedian. Her comedy is described as delightfully dark and smart. Her work has been published in Mcsweeneys and Reductress. She performs standup all over the east coast and has opened for such headliners as Melissa Villasenor and Natasha Leggero.
Paul Carson (feature)
Paul Carson is a stand-up and sketch comedian based in the Philadelphia area. He has performed in comedy festivals all over the country and regularly performs up and down the East coast. He has also performed abroad in both English and German. His style is energetic, silly, and highly-physical. Starting at the age of 18, Carson has been delighting audiences for over a decade with no plans of stopping.
Aaron Bell (host)
Aaron Bell is a West Philly native that’s a regular in the local comedy scene and has performed at numerous festivals around the country. He’s performed at the Tax Free Comedy Festival in Delaware (2019), the Franklin Street Comedy Festival in North Carolina (2019), the Milwaukee Comedy Festival (2020), the Electric Comedy Festival in Utah (2021), The Portland Maine Comedy Festival (2022), the North Carolina Comedy Festival (2022), the Blue Whale Comedy Festival (2023), the Baltimore Comedy Festival (2023), the Des Comedie Festival (2023), the MMJ Comedy festival (2024), and the Rip City Comedy Festival (2024). In addition to performing at these festivals, he’s featured at The Church of Satire Comedy Club, performed on Punchline Philly’s All-Pro Comedy Showcase, Don’t Tell Philly, and has hosted at Bristol Comedy Works in Bristol, Pennsylvania. Known for his dark, observational humor and laid back style, Aaron’s act focuses on his life as an adolescent living in the suburbs, as well as his life as an adult living in Philly.
